Saddle River

Saddle River was formed during Bergen County’s ‘Boroughitis’ in 1894, just one day earlier than its neighbor, Upper Saddle River— today, Saddle River is considered one of the wealthiest small boroughs in America. Newer mansions have been built among the existing collection of large, historical estates. The borough is home to quite a number of historical sites, particularly notable historical homes, and is also a dry town.
